Outdoor Single Skin Carcoon

The single skin unit is for use in semi sheltered situations e.g.: carports. These units can also be used indoors as they provide additional security by not allowing the vehicle to be viewed and provide protection from UV light.

 

These units are effectively the same construction as the indoor unit, but the outer skin is made of a special alloy coated material.

 

The Carcoon Power and Charge System is supplied with every Carcoon and Bike Bubble, this unit will maintain the vehicles battery while in storage, this also provide back up power for the Carcoon if the mains(240 volt) power fails (power cut etc), click here to find out more.

 

Outdoor Double Skin Carcoon

The alloy coating provides unrivalled outdoor protection, blocking 99.9% of damaging Ultra-Violet rays. Any vehicle exposed to UV light for prolonged periods can suffer considerable damage. UV light alone, for example, will oxidise even the best paintwork.

 

The double skin Outdoor Carcoon is a double-skin construction (i.e. a bubble within a bubble) with an insulating air gap between each skin.

 

Once the paint starts to break down it becomes particularly vulnerable to attack from air-borne pollutants such as acid rain, etc. Rubber seals are also damaged by UV, the resultant ingress of water rapidly accelerates the rusting process from within.
